Reviews and Ratings
The snow hotel offers a unique experience with ice beds but lacks artistic decorations in the rooms. The temperature can be uncomfortably cold at times, and the upgrade may not be worth it for basic rooms.
I had an amazing experience at the hotel, perfect for northern light and star gazing on a clear night. The rooms, although lacking the ice art depicted in some photos, were comfortable enough for sleeping in sleeping bags; however, it did get very cold at times.
I was thrilled to stay in the ice rooms at the snow hotel; they are the ones with the pretty lights and sculptures, definitely worth the upgrade. However, it was disappointing to be asked to pay a huge amount for the room we wanted initially. The service was top-notch, with the staff being super helpful and even chatting with guests while cooking salmon in the restaurant. The location was perfect for Northern Light watching, but there were no water or tea/coffee facilities. The dining experience was average with a limited set menu at the on-site restaurant. The facilities were clean and convenient.
The hotel offers a comfortable stay with friendly staff and a convenient location close to nature. However, the dining hours are limited, and the room setup may require some adjustments for privacy. Overall, a cozy retreat with a few minor drawbacks.
